Yoga is a path to self-realization that brings the mind, body and spirit together.

Yoga is much more than physical postures.

It’s true that yoga can be practiced by anyone, but it can be overwhelming to understand how to get started. Social media and ads often display people performing challenging yoga poses, which can be intimidating.

However, yoga is a personal practice, and since every person is different, everyone is included!

There are eight elements in the lifelong practice of yoga. Read below to learn more:

Yama

How we interact with the world and how we treat others are the basis of the Yamas.

How we treat ourselves, and how ethics shape us as people are described in the Niyamas.

Using physical postures to find mental focus and calm is the purpose of asanas.

Breath control is fundamental in preparing the mind and body for stillness.

Gain control over the senses to calm the mind. By shifting awareness away from external influences, one can achieve stillness.

To concentrate and attach the mind to a single object or idea.

The continuous flow of concentration, free from the distractions of both external and internal worlds.

Simply put, complete peace. A full embrace of the unity of mind, body and spirit.

Your journey begins here

The world of yoga is limitless and doesn’t exclude anybody because it’s a personal practice. Through yoga one can seek, find, and maximize their personhood. You don’t “have” a soul – you “ARE” a soul.
